European Pathways Announced

SGI is pleased to announce a series of pathways with Spanish clubs CD Estepona, UD Los Barrios and Gibraltar Premier League side Lincoln Red Imps.

SGI and the affiliate clubs will work together to provide opportunities for players including two-way pathways, alongside talent recognition, with a strong link forming between the two.

There will also be chance for competitive fixtures to further enhance development, as well as joint Academy tournaments in England and Spain.

SGI has had recent success in Spain with 3 fixtures in Andalucia at the Atletismo Estepona Stadium with 7 players being scouted by EFL and National League clubs and 3 being offered full time residential scholarships at the SGI Marbella Academy.

Director of Football Sean Morris said: “The Academy are always looking for new links and partnerships to help us spread the brand of SGI and in our search for talented footballers to bring through the academies to professional clubs.


Over the coming months we will be visiting the clubs, to further cement our relationship by running Talent ID events and inviting the clubs over to our centres to give players new experiences and to work with club staff.



We believe this link-up with the club will be hugely beneficial for both parties. It will provide a pathway for the Academies best young players and allow our Academy to benefit from partner club’s vast experience.
