Dorking Wanderers Partnership & Academy Launched

Sports Group International [SGI] are delighted to announce an official partnership with National League side Dorking Wanderers to operate a number of football academies across the South East.

The partnership will create greater opportunities in football and education as well as a seamless pathway for young players looking to achieve a professional contract.

The academies are aimed at 16-24 year-olds which will offer further and higher education opportunities alongside a full time football programme.

Collectively we have created an environment that enables players/students to develop, offering varying flexible playing opportunities, whilst providing access to high quality facilities and education.

Director David Hay said:

“We will be providing excellent opportunities for young players to study while developing their playing potential. The full-time football academies will offer competitive football at under-18, 19 and under-23 plus training hosted at professional level facilities during the week. All our coaches are UEFA licensed and will provide a detailed training schedule to enhance the abilities of all players as they work towards a professional contract with Dorking Wanderers FC’.

This partnership will create greater opportunities and choice for post-16 education. We offer access to state-of-the-art elite performance training facilities and pathways into the first team squad during their time at the club.

Places are available for both boys and girls and applications are welcome from players of all standards.

The partnership launches next month with an open recruitment event at our brand new academy centre Sussex County FA Stadium, Culver Road, Lancing, BN15 9AX Stadium on the 13th December (starting 3pm).
